CEDAR BEAD PROJECT

THE CEDAR BEAD PROJECT - Early Navajo traditions believed wearing cedar beads would bring protection, peace and harmony to the wearer.

Nurses at the Flagstaff Medical Center in Northern Arizona contacted Dineh Jewelry asking if we could make bracelets or some blessing of hope for their Covid patients. The hospital is one of the busiest and high risk medical centers located near the Hopi, Zuni and Navajo Reservations. To bring peace, hope and healing to the patients, Dineh Jewelry developed the Cedar Bead Project and donated bracelets to the patients. We wish them all the safest recovery and that they return home to their families soon. We thank the hard and dedicated work of the frontline workers of the hospital whose selfless commitment have greatly inspired us.

Dineh Jewelry will be donating 20% of sales from the Cedar Bead bracelets to the Navajo Nation Covid-19 Relief Fund that provides essential supplies to significantly impacted elders and families in isolated areas on the Navajo Nation.
