Black Mesa Cedar Bead Necklace

Black Mesa Cedar Bead Necklace

$120.00

An interconnection with earth, trees, animals and humans. This handmade necklace with Cedar Beads comes from the juniper trees that are native to the Navajo Nation. The juniper berries from the tree are harvested after the berries have dried and fallen to the ground. Ants find the berries and nibble one end and eat inside the berries and the berry is then hollow and dry. Early Navajo beliefs surrounding Cedar Beads say that they bring protection, peace and harmony to the wearer or when hung in sacred spaces.

Each Necklace is made with Nylon cord, mixed Toho Japanese glass beads and four Cedar Beads to represent the four sacred mountains on the Navajo Nation. With an adjustable macrame clasp from 7” to 14”. Please enquire for larger or smaller sizes.
